This is a no frills, one on one class hosted in Lower Manhattan that will teach you every aspect of Traditional Reiki (Usui Reiki) that you need to know. Regardless of your experience with Reiki, you will walk out of the class as a certified Reiki Master Teacher.
I condense all the essentials of Reiki that are usually taught over 60+ hours into 3 intense hours. I also charge literally a fraction of what every other Reiki teacher charges. I do this for 3 reasons:

Reiki is not rocket science. It’s a spiritual practice that is very easy to perform. We are living in chaotic times on this planet and everyone deserves the ability to heal themselves from stress, anxiety and negativity. The only challenge you face as a Reiki Master is self care. If you take care of your emotions, your body and your mind, then you will be able to effectively heal your clients and experience all of the life changing benefits that Reiki offers.
There are over 1200 modalities of Reiki in the world today and, although it’s the most popular, Traditional Reiki (Usui Reiki) is just one type.
There are over 1200 modalities of Reiki today. Usui Reiki is just one type and, although do I continue to use Usui Reiki regularly, I found that there are other types of Reiki that are just as effective, if not superior to Usui Reiki. I recommend exploring several types of Reiki in during your path as a healer and find the one or ones that resonate with you the most.
Dr. Usui charged modest fees to his students, did not break up his teachings into levels and passed on all symbols in a single atttunement
Dr. Usui believed that everyone, everywhere deserves to learn Reiki. Reiki is energy that comes from the Universe, and it’s our responsibility as healers to spread the knowledge, not hoard it or trademark it. Dr. Usui provided mentoring to his students, charged modest fees and passed on the healing power of Reiki over one single attunement. Unfortunately when Reiki found its way to the United States in the 1930’s, several Reiki Masters decided to create the three-level system (Reiki 1/Reiki 2/Reiki 3) and raised the fee to become a Master. Although I believe their intention was good in trying to get clients fully invested into the healing art, the 3 tier system and the over-priced fees that many master-level courses carry ends up being restrictive for a lot of ‘would-be’ healers.
That being said, the high fees for master-level courses and the 3 level system is not at all tradition in Japan. My lineage comes from Fumio Ogawa from Japan. Fumio Ogawa is 91 years old and learned Reiki from his father, who was one of Dr Usui’s first students. Therefore, this course is all levels in one.

What is a Reiki Attunement and how does it work ?
Reiki is not taught in the way other healing techniques are taught. It is transferred to the student by the Reiki Master during an attunement process. The attunement expands the main energy channels of the student's body, allowing universal energy, also known as Qi/Chi/Ki, to flow more freely and deeply. This process also opens the crown, spiritual eye, heart, feet and palm chakras and creates a special link between the student and the Reiki source.
The Chakra energy and energy body of the student increases in vibrational rate after the attunement, allowing for a new, elevated baseline vibrational rate. This increase of vibration is necessary to allow for a smooth flow of high vibrational Reiki energy through the practitioner's body and hands. Generally speaking, once you have been attuned you will always have access to the universal energy. Even if you stop using it for several months or even years, the moment you feel the need to use it again, it will be there as effective as it was when you were first attuned.
The Reiki attunement can start a cleansing process that affects the physical body as well as the mind and emotions. Toxins that have been stored in the body may be released along with feelings and thought patterns that are no longer useful. As a result, this can create significant energy changes within the individual and many will undergo an intense period of self-growth.
As there are over 1200 different Reiki modalities in the world today, that means that there are 1200+ different attunements available. That being said, most students typically start with Traditional Reiki, also knows as Usui Reiki, and the Usui Reiki attunement/attunements.
